 ü     How many attempts can I make to complete the Exam ? As many as you want ,there is no limitation on the number of tests. But you should take some time before attending it again.

 

 ü     What exams do I have to take to get my CCNA ? The CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) certification offers two paths. You can take the one-exam path by taking the 640-802 CCNA Exam. If you want to break it up into two parts, you can take the Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices Part 1 (640-822 ICND1) and the Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices Part 2 (640-816ICND2) exams.

 

 ü     Do I have to recertify my CCNA, or is it mine forever after I pass ? One way Cisco protects the value of its certifications is to enforce strict recertification policies. When you earn your CCNA, you must recertify within three years.

 

 ü     How do I recertify my CCNA ?  There is a lot of confusion out there on this question. The latest information from Cisco is that you recertify your CCNA by doing any of the following three things: ·   Pass the current CCNA exam, or pass the ICND2 exam. ·   Pass any 642 professional level or Cisco Specialist exam (excluding Sales Specialist exams). ·   Pass a current CCIE written exam.

 

 ü     How do I register for the CCNA exam ? You can take the CCNA exam at any Prometric or VUE testing center.

 

 ü     How much is the CCNA 640-802 composite exam ? The cost of the CCNA 640-802 composite exam is USD$250 or equivalent worldwide.

 

 ü     How much do the ICND1 640-822 and ICND2 640-816 exams cost ? The ICND1 and ICND2 exams cost USD$125 or equivalent worldwide.

 

 ü     What will I receive when I complete my certification exam ? At the completion of computer-based proctored exams, all candidates will receive an exam score report. The score report includes a score breakdown by exam section to help candidates determine their areas of strength and weakness. In addition, your score and the passing score for the particular exam taken will be listed on the report. Also, information on your score report such as your Cisco ID number and/or Test ID number will be used to identify you in the Certification program.

 

 ü     Why is CCNA a pre-requisite for Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification ? CCNA ensures that CCNP candidates possess a solid foundation of networking knowledge, which lays the foundation for the professional curriculum. Without that prerequisite foundation, the student may not be able to keep up with others in class and learn the advanced knowledge and skills presented in the CCNP courses.

 

 ü     How Cisco certification exams are scored ? Cisco Certification exams scores are based on a point scaling system that is widely used in the industry. Your score can fall within a point scale of 300 to 1000 points. You are automatically awarded 300 points for beginning the test and can score up to 1000 points if you answer every question correctly on the exam. The specific number of points awarded to a given question may vary exam to exam. This does not change the content or format of the exam or the way in which the exam is graded.
