At times internal hemorrhoids can get pushed out of the anus opening. This may happen due to the stools that pushes the swollen part out. This type of piles is normally called prolapsed hemorrhoid. Sometimes the prolapsed hemorrhoid may return back inside by itself or it may have to be pushed back or sometimes they may not return back at all.
In the case of an external hemorrhoid there can be accumulation of blood with a blood clot. This type of piles is called as thrombosed hemorrhoids.
